I watched the political debate between some of the leaders of Canada's federal political parties last night: Pierre Poilievre and Mark Carney being the two main actors.
And I mean actors, because that is exactly what they are. That was quite evident at the end of the debate when the two of them snuggled up and congratulated one another on a good performance.
I don't think they realized that cameras were still rolling, capturing their little tete-a-tete.
Canada is just a pretend democracy, fully controlled by a central Canadian tribe, carrying on the colonial construct that Brittain pretended to give away to the locals. Carney and Poilievre are merely fringe members of that tribe.
