Why Norwegians (including members of my family) should be worried

NATO exercise happening right now in Northern Norway:

"WHO: Around 30,000 troops from 27 countries from Europe and North America
WHAT: Training together in cold weather exercises – on land, in the air and at sea
WHERE: NATO Ally Norway and surrounding seas
WHEN: March-April 2022
WHY: Helping Allies and partners practise working together so that they are prepared for any situation" (Copied from NATO website)

Fact: Russia's northern nuclear defence forces are concentrated on the Kola peninsula where Norway and Russia have a shared border (not very far from the exercise area)

Just listened to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg (former Norwegian Prime Minister) on the Norwegian radio news state that NATO will increase its number of battlegroups surrounding Russia from 4 to 8. There are currently some 100, 000 US troops posted in Europe, according to Stoltenberg and NATO has a total of about 40,000 troops under its command.

The chessboard is loaded... (I seem to be experiencing some chills; didn't Russia just conduct exercises along the Ukrainian border?)
