The conflict in Ukraine is not just a territorial conflict. It is a also a conflict between two mindsets: "Traditional" vs "Progressive".
And, sadly, most people seem to fall into one of these two categories these days.
These mindsets are cemented in place by ideologies that demonize the other and glorifies itself.
Both seek to distort reality by picking the 'facts' they like and discarding what they don't like.
In other words, both provide a lens through which to look at the world, making it a lot simpler and more emotionally satisfying than it really is.
Self deception seems to be a popular pursuit in search of emotional comfort.
