Is Putin a nutcase?

Many western news sources suggest that he is. I don't think so. On the contrary. He has every reason to believe that NATO countries led by the US will not interfere with his conquest of Ukraine.

Russia has an edge in the development and production of hypersonic missiles. And no nation currently has the ability to effectively intercept these missiles as they approach their targets.

Putin knows it and so does Western military and political leaders.
So Putin will just keep pouring it on in Ukraine, turning the place into rubble, knowing that the West does not dare to interfere in any meaningful way, in spite of all the hot air emanating from Western politicians.

Anyone on Earth is now a sitting duck that can be taken out at the whim of one man.

Ethnic coexistence?

Being with like minded people and friends gives one a feeling of belonging. Supporters of sports teams get that feeling of belonging to a group at a game, as they cheer on the team.

The same happens at political demonstrations when emotions run high and the adrenaline is flowing. It's a buzz.

And if two groups with opposite political views clash, things can get out of hand very quickly.

The ultimate version is war, as currently experienced in Ukraine, where people on both sides literally put their lives on the line, each arguing for their own cause with no tolerance for an opposing view.

The first casualty in this process is what led up to the situation in the first place. Each side denies the relevance of previous events that led to counter measures, which in turn, provoked further responses.

That is precisely what has happened in Ukraine with an 8 year ethnic/political conflict blowing up into full scale war.

The roots of this conflict goes way back to WWII and beyond, as various ethnic/political groups in Ukraine had it out with each other over the years.

Goes to show that ethnic coexistence "ain't all it's cracked up to be".

What is money?

That question has likely been asked since the beginning of human civilization, and then some.

The answer is, "virtually anything". Why? Because as long as there is a general agreement about the value of something, it can be used as money in exchanging goods and services.

For example, dried tomatoes could be used if a lot of people were prepared to accept them in return for something else.

The state issued fiat (force) money we use in our societies is no different and has value in the minds of people because we can use this money to pay our taxes (rather than taking cartons of eggs to the tax office) and we get put in jail if we refuse to accept payment in state issued cash.

The latest is digital money issued by the central bank of a state which is in effect controlled by the political junta of the day, as demonstrated by our own Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland when she picked which bank accounts of political opponents to close recently.

Thanks for the heads up, Chrystia! You showed your hand so we can take evasive action for the future: Gold and silver have been used for thousands of years as a store of value, and continues to do so, long after the states that minted coins using these metals disappeared.

Will the US and Canada enter the fray in Europe?

Based on history, it is merely a matter of time. In WWI and WWII, Canada, as part of the British empire, entered right away in 1914 and 1939.

The US followed suit in 1917 and 1941 and is likely going to be reluctantly dragged into this war as well by vested interests wanting to reshape the world into some kind of monstrosity of their own making.

And behind the whole thing are old men with reduced testosterone levels and elevated illusions of grandeur pulling strings and pulling the wool over young people's eyes for their own perverse entertainment.

Suggested fix: Give them massive injections of testosterone and turn them loose amongst sexy ladies of the night.

Come dawn they will all be laying around, dead from heart attacks, and the world can get on with life.

Societal divisions

During the nineteen thirties, Europe became deeply divided between people that subscribed to socialism, the class struggle and communism on one side and nationalists who supported more traditional points of view on the other.

As tensions grew National Socialism emerged as a counter to Bolshevism in Russia and Communism in general.

This happened in most countries in Europe and resulted in civil war in Spain in 1936.

We now have a war in Ukraine that is causing the world to divide into two camps, one supporting Ukraine and another supporting Russia.

This war is reinforcing existing divisions within countries, including Canada, resulting in volunteers making their way to Ukraine to support both sides of the conflict.

What's coming in Ukraine?

As the war escalates, some trends are emerging: Heavy armour is no longer what it used to be and does not intimidate the general population like it did before.

The reason is the emergence of precision guided personal missiles that can be launched from the shoulder of a foot soldier and take out a tank or armoured personnel carrier in short order.

And Ukraine has thousands of American made Javelin missiles with likely more streaming in from outside sources every day.

So, all of a sudden Putin's tanks are becoming more of a liability than assets on the ground, and he knows that, as his army is reluctant to advance forwards very quickly in the face of deadly missile attacks.

So Putin's priority becomes to choke off enemy supply lines at all costs to stop the bleeding within his own army. That's where it gets tricky as a lot of those supplies come from Poland.

If Putin does not make headway, at what point does he decide to go all out?

Oh, the money!

Prince Justin's latest stunt, under cover of the Emergencies Act, of preventing access to our money and potentially stealing it, gave us a heads up about what is coming down the pipeline.

So, what is a good alternative to money in the bank? Money in the hand, obviously.

But even cash can be made worthless by a flick of Prince Justin's finger, at his convenience. This has already been tried in India but didn't work because of the outcry that followed.

The point is, they tried, and will do it again, based on some kind of excuse of the day.

Silver has a multi thousand year record of use as a means of exchange and represents a viable alternative to fiat money issued by the state.

And there is a lot of it around with more coming on stream all the time. It is readily accepted by most people as having an established value, irrespective the whims of governments and their cronies.

Silver comes in many forms, as coins, bullion or silver ware which are convenient to use.

So, if you owe some money to the bank, keep it that way for when Prince Justin decides to close your account : )

Pandemic review

Just under two years ago, after hearing reports of Covid spread on cruise ships and at airports, I realized that the bug was primarily spread by way of aerosol droplets from breath, exhaled by one person and subsequently inhaled by another person.

To that end, I commissioned a video and posted it online during the spring of 2020 (please see link below)

Since then the pandemic followed a very similar trajectory to the one in 1918-20, and finished the same way with more infective and less deadly variants of the bug predominating over time.

As it turns out, Nature is very logical, multiplication is the name of the game, and killing the host does not fit into that game plan.

So, once the Omicron variant came along, the end was in sight and we will just learn to live with the bug, as has happened thousands of times in the past.

Vaccines saved an awful lot of lives, in contrast to what happened in 1918-20.

I'm inclined to think that the original Covid 19 was an engineered product that escaped by accident from the lab in Wuhan.
(I don't think that the Chinese would have deliberately let it loose in their own backyard).

Putin's gamble

Before invading Ukraine Putin knew that he had Europe by the b...ls as Russia is the source of better than 50% of Europe's natural gas consumption.

Being excluded from the world's financial system likely doesn't lose him any sleep either because he can chose to pay down Russian debt with greatly devalued roubles, or not at all.

While there is a hue and cry in the media and amongst western politicians, little is actually done for fear of the Russian Bear turning off the gas supply.

Putin knew that would happen before going into Ukraine and also knows that he can take his time and grind that country into submission by turning its infrastructure into rubble.

All the while keeping the wolves at bay with his hand on the nuclear trigger.

Democracy? Canada?

Canada's Foreign Minister Melanie Joly just stated on Main Stream Media that Canada's goal is regime change in Russia.

Did she, or the Trudeau government ever put that question to the Canadian people? Was she elected to, essentially, declare war on another country?

That sums up the state of Canada's so called 'democracy'. Joly, who is part of a government that throws its own political enemies in jail, just like Putin does, now wants to replace him.

Folks, please see this for what it is, political hacks and their backroom masters using us as their cannon fodder.

"I'll nuke you!" - The nuclear threat

Putin's reference in the mainstream media to his order to get Russian strategic nukes ready was designed to intimidate the rest of the world into keeping its hands off Ukraine.

Intimidation tactic, pure and simple, and it has succeeded so far.
In fact, all the world's nukes are ready to go at a moment's notice already. Otherwise there would be no point in having them.

So, Putin is playing a game of chicken with the rest of us and the people of Ukraine are the victims. And they are being systematically ground into the dirt by the Russian war machine, just like the German war machine did to its victims some 80 years ago.

The Ukraine government, hostile to Moscow, has a lot to do with it in waging an unofficial war against Russians in East Ukraine for some 8 years now with 10,000+ casualties to show for it.

Russian war strategy

"Kettling and murdering civilians" pretty well sums it up. Surrounding cities with artillery and pounding them into rubble, breaking the morale of defenders that have to deal with panicked civilians with nowhere to go.

The Russian army can do so with impunity because they control the airspace over the whole country.

We are looking at a country that will have an urban landscape similar to that of Germany following WWII.

Air superiority is absolutely crucial to the outcome of armed conflict in the 21st century.

So, leaving Ukrainians on the ground without air cover is tantamount to abandonment by Western governments.

Somme common denominators

9/11 terrorized the American public and allowed Congress to pass some draconian laws. About 3000 innocent people lost their lives.
Covid terrorized the world's population. Some 6 million deaths.
Governments introduced freedom restrictive measures.
February 2022, festering conflict in Ukraine increases by an order of magnitude, creating a million refugees, or more so far, and putting the whole world on edge.
Common denominator: Terror imposed on civilian populations in order to make people accept oppressive laws in return for 'security' (read "monochrome beliefs").
It has all happened before and the record is preserved in massive stone structures created by monochrome societies, like in Egypt, for example, where the 0.001 % convinced the rest of the population that they were God's closest cousins.

Something smells

The so called 'war' in Ukraine may not be a real war at all. The Russians call it a "special military operation" and I think they might be right.
An operation to intimidate the people of Ukraine and the rest of us around the world, by creating real misery and suffering in the operations area and beyond.
Air power is not really being used by either side. In a 'normal' war it is always used right at the outset of hostilities, each side trying to establish air supremacy.
It is as if there is a tacit understanding between the Ukrainian government and Putin not to use airpower.
Meanwhile the actor Zelenski is being portrayed as a hero and Putin as the Big Bad Guy in the Western media.
I'm smelling a false flag operation designed to intimidate and terrorize people in Ukraine and far beyond its borders, in the wake of the Covid pandemic.
It started way back in 2001 on September 11, when building #7 collapsed on its own footprint for no reason at all.

WEF, NWO?

For those that are worried about the World Economic Forum or the New World Order, don't worry, we are slaves already, if you didn't know it.
As long as we tow the line, we are looked after and entertained, just like the Romans were in their day, watching Christians being eaten by wild animals in the Colosseum in Rome.
As soon as we break ranks the State is down on us like a ton of bricks with economic punishment and jail sentences, serving vested interests.
When the vested interest groups fight among themselves, they recruit our youth to do their killing for them on both sides and make a pile of money while they are at it.
So, before you take sides, some sober second thought is in order.

Oligarchs' war

I have it figured out: Zelenski was installed into the presidency in Ukraine by the money of oligarchs. Before that he was a song-and-dance man. Now he is a hero, all of a sudden.
Putin, an oligarch himself, is kept in power by a bunch of like minded cronies.
To these people the world is their playground and when they get into arguments and strife among themselves, we the brainwashed people pay the price and start killing each other for their benefit.
What's new, pussycat??

History repeats

Having just come out of a pandemic that turned out to be almost a carbon copy of the 1918-20 Flu Pandemic, Ukraine's old battlefields are, once again, emerging from the past and filling our heads.
The festering conflict in the east of Ukraine has now spread to the whole country and is involving players from all over the world.
It has become the flashpoint between two predominating ideologies, "Traditional" supported by the Putin government and "Progressive" by the Zelensky government in Kyiv.
Here in North America there is a lot of support for the "Traditional" position, even as the main stream media is 100% for the "Progressive" side. In Russia the opposite is the case.
I'm a firm believer in using history as a guide to what will happen in the future and based on that, ongoing conflict is a certainty in Ukraine.
Ukraine and Afghanistan have one feature in common: They are both located at strategically important points between East and West, causing an internal clash of cultural values.

New Russian strategy

Initial approach was to go in quickly with an overwhelming armoured force, expecting to replace Ukraine's government without a lot of destruction.
It didn't work because of unexpected resistance from the Ukrainian population.
The new strategy is an old one: Clobber the civilian population into submission by destroying their cities using overwhelming air power in the form of missiles and aircraft.
"The siege of Warsaw in 1939 was fought between the Polish Warsaw Army garrisoned and entrenched in Warsaw and the invading German Army. It began with huge aerial bombardments initiated by the Luftwaffe starting on September 1, 1939 following the Nazi invasion of Poland. Wikipedia"
Reportedly, the Russian army has been losing a lot of people to American "Javelin" anti tank missiles launched by well trained Ukrainian soldiers.
So now the butchery will be ramped up an order of magnitude in order try to break the fighting spirit of the Ukrainians.
My prediction? Ukrainians will dig in and fight even harder, like the Russians did in St. Petersburg (Stalingrad) in 1942-43) against the German invaders.
