Volunteers recognized in the Caroline Community

"Volunteers in the Caroline area were recognized for their work during 2024/25 at an event hosted by the Caroline Neighbourhood Place Society
on May 1 at the Caroline HUB.

More than the 120+ people in attendance had been contacted personally by Caroline Neighbourhood Place volunteers, thanking them for their service
and invited to the volunteer appreciation event. Each individual had been nominated by a peer prior to the event and received a certificate of recognition.

Based on nominations received, the Outstanding Youth Volunteer Award for 2025 was received by Raine Archibald and the Volunteer of the Year Award was shared by Laure Works and Brian Rude.

The theme of the event was "making waves" and participants were encouraged to dress up accordingly. Engaging entertainment was provided
by dancers from Caroline Dance West and the Caroline Seniors Line Dancers. Young volunteer family members also provided impromptu entertainment to the amusement of those present.

MC for the event was Caroline Schuppler Carefoot, who kept everybody engaged during the evening."
